The Roman Forum illustration was drawn as part of a series of work developed on location in Italy during the summer of 2022. The series includes some of the most iconic buildings and sites in Rome. The drawing features the northern part of the Forum with Trajen’s Column in the foreground. The shadows of surrounding ancient columns march along the plaza and ground the composition.
